Terms of Service

What we provide

Live, one-to-one WACE Biology tuition of one hour per class, taught by Dr. Kshama Singh (M.B.B.S., PGDFM), delivered online by video. Pair and trio sessions are available for students at the same year level who book together, to a maximum of three students in a session. Sessions are mapped to the WACE Biology syllabus published by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.

We are a tutoring service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of SCSA or any school.

Accounts

An account is opened by, or with the involvement of, a parent or guardian. Keep the password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.

Booking and payment

• Prices are shown in Australian dollars, per student, per one-hour class, and depend on the year band and how many students share the session.
• A booking is held, not confirmed, until payment reaches us. A held time is kept for 24 hours; after that it is released to other families.
• Payment is per class, or as a four-class bundle. We never ask for a large sum upfront and nothing renews automatically.
• Bundle classes stay valid to the end of the WA school term in which they were bought. Bought in the last two weeks of a term, validity carries into the following term.
• Where a refund is due it is issued less any banking or payment processing charges, which we cannot recover once paid.

Cancelling and rescheduling

Free to reschedule or cancel a paid class up to 24 hours before it starts, and a free trial up to 12 hours before. Inside that window a paid class is charged in full, because the time is held for your family alone and cannot be re-offered at short notice. A class counts as a no-show, and is charged, if the student has not joined within 15 minutes of the start time.

If we need to cancel

If Dr. Singh cannot teach a booked class we will tell you as early as we can and offer a replacement time at no extra cost, or a full refund for that class with no deduction — we absorb the processing charges in that case.

Class times

Every time on this site is Perth time (AWST). Dr. Singh teaches from India, and those hours are held open specifically for Western Australian families, but you never need to convert anything.

Recordings

Classes may be recorded so students can rewatch them. A recording is available only to the students who were booked into that class. Recordings are for personal study: you may not share, publish, sell or re-upload them. Tell us before a class if you would prefer it not be recorded.

Conduct

Sessions are teaching time. We may end a class, and in serious cases close an account, if a student is abusive to the tutor, deliberately disrupts a shared session, or records or redistributes a class without permission. Where we close an account for conduct, unused prepaid classes are refunded.

What we do not promise

We teach the syllabus and exam technique as well as we know how, but no tutor can guarantee a grade, an ATAR, or a university offer. Outcomes depend on the student's own work. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of what any contract says.

Our responsibility

Where the law allows us to limit liability, our responsibility to you is limited to re-supplying the class or refunding what you paid for it. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your internet connection, your device, or an outage at a video provider — though in practice, if a class is lost to a fault at our end, we replace it.

Intellectual property

Materials we prepare and share during a class remain ours, and are licensed to you for the student's personal study. Work the student produces remains theirs.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you book. Material changes will be emailed to account holders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia.
